IGSA Downhill Skateboard World Championships 2005 - Almabtrieb - Jungholz - Austria

7.07 - 9.07.2005

Information: The Almabtrieb moved from Auerberg to Jungholz. The new track is very nice but not as fast as 2004. The new course is not so dangerous, like this there were no hard crashes. And here the aero part is first, followed by a technical section. The start is located in a left hand turn. After a flat beginning it gets steeper and faster, approximately 80-85km/h. Full speed trough a left sweeper. Then you enter the tech section: 90° left, 180° right, short straight line, 180° left. The next turn, a very interesting right hander, gets tighter in the end. 90° left, slow finish... The asphalt is old but pretty good. The road will be repaved for next year. Wow!!!

The race was very interesting, especially the final. Shrek and Adrien showed their best. They crossed the finish line side by side. It was a very close decision. Shrek won the World Champ title. Congratulations!!!

I messed up in the quarter finals and I was very disappointed.
