B2 - 5 year anniversary
Five years ago, in November 2004, Switzerlands biggest and most innovative boulder gym opened its doors. This will be celebrated with another blocbuster boulder competition and a party... |

Grindelwald - 6th June 2007
I was invited to the Mammut Sales Meeting in Grindelwald for doing a slackline show. There was a highline about 6m high and 25m long. I'm not used to highlines. Nevertheless I gave it a few tries and ended up in the middle of the line. I know I can walk 25m on lower lines. But the height and falling down every attempt was a bit too much for me.
Later I showed some tricks on a shorter and lower line. Even though it started raining during the show it was really cool.

Black Diamond Europe just celebrated it's 10th birthday. I brought my 25m slackline and a shorter line from B2. So I set up two lines and it was possible to jump from one line to the other. Many people made their first steps on the line. In the evening there was a historic slide show about Chuinard's work and the beginning of BD in Europe. After that Pietro dal Pra did a really cool presentation of his way of climbing. And the party was hilarious! |

Scharnitz - Austria - 1./2. July 2006
After almost half a year of eager slackline balancing at B2 i wanted to see something new. So i went to Heinz Zak's slackline festival. More than 20 different lines were set up in a nice forest. Long, short, tight, loose. The atmosphere was cool and very relaxed. I spent most time on a short trickline, experimenting new things. On Sunday we walked to a valley with a nice small river. Some of us tried to send the highlines. For me it was the first time so high above the ground. Wanna do it again! Ah - went to skate the cradle in Brixlegg on Monday!
Pictures from Florian. And thanks alot Elly for giving me a place to sleep in Innsbruck!

CAMP 5, Kuala Lumpur
End of July 2005 I went back to Malaysia for two months. This time we really started setting up the climbing walls in the gym.
Camp5 is on top of the fifth floor at 1 Utama Shopping center in Kuala Lumpur. I was building a crazy boulder cave. Too bad it's so far away from Switzerland. I'd really like to climb at Camp5.
I envy all climbers at KL for having such a nice gym!

1999 basement
This was my mini boulder wall in the basement of my parents house. In addition to roughly 500 holds on a total of 15 m2 I even had some prototype inserts and a modular roof section. |
